Many people swear by it - so what is it that makes Eight Hour Cream so highly regarded?

Elizabeth Arden's 'magic cream' seems to be the secret weapon of so many make-up artists around the world - and it's been around for donkey's years. But as of today I have still never tried it to see what all the fuss is about - but I can assure you that I have done my research!

I was amazed to find out that it was actually created in 1930 by Elizabeth Arden herself - the skin protectant was created to soothe all types of skin irritations. Its name even came about from its performance - apparently it cured a child's 'skinned knee' within 8 hours - magic!

Nowadays there are all sorts of quirky uses for the cream. Long gone are the days when it was solely used to combat dry skin.

Apparently catwalk models use it to highlight their cheekbones - apparently the light shines off it perfectly to create that dewy, natural effect. So - if you've been searching through the make-up stands in the hope of finding that magic cheekbone highlighter you have been looking in the wrong place!

Another slightly more common use for it is to use it as a lip balm. If you don't mind the slightly 'creamy' flavour, then Eight Hour Cream is supposed to work wonders on dry, chapped lips.

Some girls even report to use it on the ends of their hair to smooth out split ends - genius!
