Hotel Bathtub Refinishing is Better Than Hotel Bathtub Replacement
bathtubs
Hotels and others in the hospitality industry are responding to the increasing need from their guests who are looking for hotels that are conscious of their environmental needs. Bathtub refinishing today, has become a big part of the overall hotel bathroom remodeling. Importantly, bathtub refinishing drastically reduces the amount of bathroom fixtures like bathtubs, counter-tops or sinks that go into the landfills.
Bathtub refinishing is better than bathtub replacement because of its zero impact on the environment. Consider the impact of bathtub replacement. It is true that you may buy a new bathtub for as little as $ 300 from your friendly neighborhood home improvement store. But the old bathtub has to be pulled out of that small space - the bathroom. That involves, tear out, mess and a trip to the landfill.
Additionally, new tubs that are used to replace the old one use energy and resources in their manufacture. Much energy is also used in making and transporting new bathtubs from the manufacturer to the warehouses, then to the stores, and then to the hotels.
It is also known that old wood has more character and luster than the young trees that are snatched out of the forests for making furniture. Cutting down more and more trees, simply because one has not considered, refinishing as the best alternative to replacement is inexcusable.
Hotel bathtub refinishing, benefits: o Because hotels bathtub refinishing is done without a tear out, it saves a lot of money. To replace a bathtub may cost up to $ 1500 for volume discounted pricing. On the other hand, bathtub refinishing may cost a hotel $ 200 or less when volume discount is factored in. If a facility has 200 bathtubs that are replaced at that price it will cost $ 300,000, compared to $ 40,000 for tub refinishing. o Bathtub re-glazing takes comparatively less time than bathtub replacement. It takes about 4 to 6 hours to refinish a bathtub and it can be used 24 hours later. This is very important to the hospitality industry since the rooms have to be available for bookings. o While it is hard or nearly impossible for hotels to buy bathtubs in almost any color of their choosing, with tub refinishing, they can choose almost any color for their refinished bathtubs. It is hard to buy bathtubs in almost any color one wishes. With bathtub refinishing, you have the choice of almost any color. That is how many in the hospitality industry are transforming old bathroom colors to updated ones.
Here are the fixtures that hotels can refinish instead of replacing them: Bathtubs Countertops Kitchen cabinets Bathroom marble bathtubs and sinks Kitchen cabinets refinishing
As more and more people appreciate how much better bathtub refinishing is when compared to bathtub replacement, the more money they will save. In addition, bathtub refinishing is a better alternative to replacement, since the fixtures don't end up in the landfills. Equally important is the fact that less energy is used to refinish a bathtub than is used in manufacturing one.
